Turn from evil, do good, seek peace,  and pursue peace. It is impossible to pursue peace if we don't pursue healthy speech. Learning to speak blessings when I want to render evil for evil or railing for railing is a maturity skill that will take practice.

Idle chatter leads to poverty. A lying tongue is a sign of hatred. The tongue can defile the whole body. Our speech, if not tamed by the Holy Spirit, can set the whole course of our lives on fire.

Obedience is an act of obeying. Obedience heart and consents with contentment and conforms to another. Think voluntary action or under authority. Obedience gives us the power to overcome the world. 1 John 5:4 Rebellion brings us into judgment. Romans 13:2

RRD Bible Study - Rebellion

Rebellion is an opposition or defiance/resistance to authority. This lesson works through Scripture to find different levels of rebellion: aggressive, common, dutiful, submissive and lethargic. The aggressive rebel is always aggressive. The other four levels of rebellion are passive/aggressive. This is a good lesson to find and correct my own rebellion.

We explore what is my responsibility, why I need a Savior, the promise of salvation and how to increase my faith. It is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. RRD Bible Study - Abiding in Christ

Abide means remain, continue, abide or dwelling. Abiding in Christ is to continue in him as my source of strength. A branch cannot bear fruit without the life giving source of the vine. When I abide in Christ, I awake with a song in my heart of a Scripture on my tongue.
